New look for the DNS.be newsletter

As you can see, our newsletter has been given a new suit of clothes. One major advantage of the new format is that you no longer have to log on before you can read an article.

By revamping it, our aim is to reach you more easily so that we keep you up to date with what is going on at DNS.be. The newsletter itself gives you the main headings and you can then click through to read the article in full at our public website.

The type of information in the newsletter remains the same. Information intended solely for our registrars is not published at the public website, but at the dedicated registrar site – or else we send it out by e-mail or in the newsletter without a link to the public site.

Get on your bike with DNS.be for a good cause on 21 June

Just as we did last year, we again invite you to get on your bike with us and help close the digital divide. An ideal opportunity to combine your sporting ability in aid of a good cause with some good old networking.

Proceeds from the day will go to Close the Gap to organise computer classes for the less fortunate in Belgium.

Now’s the time to enrol for this event. We suggest that you form a team with your workmates and get yourself sponsored by your employer for every successful climb you make up Paterberg hill. Then you can start training so that you’re in top form for the big day.

Make sure you’re there on 21 June!

DNS.be Operations team at full strength again

With this enhanced team we now have the necessary expertise and competencies in house to carry out and maintain most of the work ourselves and conduct sufficient research.

Mid December Dimitri De Graef started at DNS.be. He takes on the role of System Engineer and is chiefly responsible for the backup environment and application servers.

Since the start of this year Leander Dierckx has strengthened the Operations team as Oracle DBA and System Engineer.
