Domain still available
This tool enables you to check whether a domain name is still available. The system will only do a correct match. Wildcards are not allowed, although it is common practice in the internet.
Type the domainname (without www or .be). Allowed characters are: "a..z, 0..9, -"
As a result you will get the status of the given domain name. All different possibilities of a domain name status can be found here; the most important ones are:
- available for registration: available for registration, except if it does not comply with the Terms & Conditions
- not available for registration: in use
- on hold: registered but lawsuit is pending
- quarantine: removed but not released until after 40 days
- not allowed: not valid in the .be zone
If you want to know who has registered a domain name, go to the bottom of the page where you will find a figure containing characters that you need to copy into the box provided. Clicking on "details" the name and all relevant contact information of the company holding the domain name will be visible; if the domain name holder is a private individual only the e-mail address and the language for disputes will be mentioned.
